The University of Essex, based in the UK, has unveiled its GREAT Scholarships tailored for Indian students. Valued at GBP 10,000, these scholarships target master’s students possessing robust academic backgrounds and either work experience or a demonstrated interest in their chosen field of study.
Intended to defray tuition fees for a one-year master’s program (MA, MSc, LLM), the scholarship mandates active participation in extra-curricular activities alongside regular lectures and tutorials. Eligibility requires candidates to hold a valid Indian passport, be classified as overseas students at the University of Essex, be fully self-funded, and possess an offer (conditional or unconditional) to commence a one-year full-time master’s degree in the relevant subject in October 2023.
Each student is limited to one scholarship, and these awards cannot be combined with other University of Essex scholarships. Certain students, such as those enrolled at East 15 Acting School, may not qualify for these scholarships, irrespective of meeting the specified criteria.
